PHP Tutorial
With PHP all you need to code is the main page. With SSI you have to position and all on everypage with php you can start typing on a plain document.
1. Make a layout with everything it in (all your scripts, nav bar, title banner EVERYTHING) except your content for that page.
2. Add the following code to your layout page where you want the content to appear
<*? include("$page.html"); ?*>(take out the "*" after pasting in)
3. Save the layout page as main.php (you dont have to save it as "main" you may want to use "index" or "home" it really doesnt matter that much as long as its .php)
4. Next make a new page and add just your content for that page. Save the page as any name you like but must have a .html extention (for the purposes of this tutorial i will call this first content page "contenttest.html")
5. Upload "main.php" and "contenttest.html" to you host and test out the page in your browser. The url will look like this
http://www.yoursite.com/main.php?page=contenttest.html
