March 30th strip (2003) Lynn Johnson. Retrieved December 31st 2007 from FBorFW

Besides reading the stock changes and doing the daily word-search & sudoku, I like to pop to the last page and read the daily funnies. Currently, the newspaper I read has 16 different comic-strips, with a few additional ones in the Saturday paper.

My favourite comic strips are For Better or For Worse by Lynn Johnston and Pickles by Brian Crane. I also enjoy Herman by Jim Unger and Peanuts by Charles Schulz as well as my new favourites Bizarro by Dan Piraro and Overboard by Chip Dunham.

My entire family, especially my mom, have been reading Lynn Johnstons work since the beginning. I enjoy how it's about a family's daily life with regular everyday humour that we encounter. All her characters are based off real people and it's neat how everyday they grow up. I remember reading when April Patterson was just a baby and how she's already a teenager. Sadly, Lynn Johnston will soon be retiring due to a condition in her hand that makes it difficult for her to draw. As for my other favourite comics, I find them very humourous in their own unique style.

I enjoy each strip that they do. I can't pick just one. Any strip with that's funny in both pictures and words is a favourite to me. Each one is different then the next. I always wonder how each artist can make up so much new material for their work.

Now it's your turn:

Who's your favourite comic artist/s and what comic/s do they illustrate?

Why do you like them?

What's your favourite strip that they've done?
