Out of three periods, time on the Earth is divided into, future is always ahead of us.
As human beings we can depend on the information given by the ability to conclude the results from observations, or steps taken to achieve the aims placed in the future (naturally).
However, looking at the notion of the future as at a stable, ensured concept; human's predictions are never bound to the certainty, regardless of the height of the probability.

Do you see the future...
As if knowledge about it was really such power as it apparently looks to be?
As the irreversible process of the course of life or rather as a flexible matter possible to be mold if only one had an access to knowledge about it before it happens?
...as something independent, fickle and elusive that human could never grasp, get their hands on it, never reach by means of the science.
In another addition, could knowledge about the future not constitute "the future" since the realisation always occurs in present?

We know the past, the present - these are the periods that are not susceptible to a change (at least this is the point of view being closed in the boundaries of our human reasoning and abilities. Irrespective of my presumptions that they do not alter even though I am being open to other possibilites, this belief still appears to have no ground for the truth since this also doesn't cross out the fact that I am a human being), hence they can be safely called stable, constant matters.
However we are not able to refer the same analogy to the future as the future does not exist in our consciousness as a stable concept in itself.
But future is theoretically, and some would add - practically as well, unavoidable.
If one would become capable of receiving information about the future in the form of visions or thoughts, would it then maintain the true description of the future? Would something in which there exists the possibility of being modified or replaced (in other words it equals with it never occuring) still deserve to carry the name of "the future" - the name of something what will happen in the form assigned to it.
Again, if we were supposed to be aware of the future look of the scenario and at the same time were supplied with the chance of a change would we not be "false foretellers" since we would be only aware of what we changed? Since the future about which we received information appeared to differ.
Perhaps, this is the situation in which some people who have seen smaller or larger parts are or were. However we hear only about those whose version appeared eventually to be beyond the influence.

Should you be willing to share your thoughts concerning any possibile way the concept of future can be described by, their presence will be welcomed.
Feel free to touch whatever aspects you like ("prediction of the future as a curse" for instance, etc) without uncertainty concerning going beyond the content of the topic. The matters are connected with one another even more closely than they seem to be at first sight.

As an adult, I know that we do not always control our own destiny. Some things are just meant to happen. There are plenty of people that have everything from a GED to a PhD but still have no JOB. And to make it that much worse, have bragged all of their life about how they are going to be somebody. They know for a fact that they are going to be their family's success story. Imagine putting all of your effort and money, into what you believe is a fool-proof plan to success only to end up with nada anyways. Outsmarting yourself by putting a sticky note on the fridge, to remind you to take out the broken fans, with the rest of the trash.... and still forget to do it. Seeing the future, isn't at all, the awesome power most people think it is. What I mean is, there are unseen forces that pretty much work against us. As humans, we are not in control of our own destiny. Even with the gift of forsight, you may not be as better off, avoiding the tragedies in your life, as a person who has planned ahead or even a person not prepared at all.

We sometimes throw ourselves in a loop of fear, stress, and confusion thinking about the unknown thats going to happen later on as we live our daily lives.

Its best to plan for the present in order to have a better future. If we keep on thinking the negative for example I might slip on a banana peel tomorrow, chances are that it WILL happen. Its better to adapt to the present rather than think of the unknown. We are already in a hard enough lot as is.

This is how I see things in a nutshell. Wow, it has been awhile since I dusted the cobwebs off my brain. I thank you for the excercise, milady. I ll read you later.

The notion of predicting the future is a tricky yet intriguing topic. When predicting you have to remember there is always going to be that "human element" in the equation. From observation, to calculating the cause and effect of various actions, there is still no solid way to say this is the straight path I am going to follow for the rest of my life. Each decision, and action has an adverse effect, either positive or negative that could create slopes or even curves in that seemingly perfect path. You also have to take into account that each person has different perceptions of what is necessary (positive) and what isn't (negative). Which proves beyond any reasonable doubt, that calculating your future isn't possible. Thus concluding a person can try as hard as they want to stay on that seemingly straight path, however, when will they realise that there is no such thing as a straight path and it is just an illusion. Our million decisions each and everyday is like a pulley, constantly fluctuating. Our decisions turning into actions, that sometimes aren't the wisest.

The future is unavoidable is true, since to stop time is beyond human capabilties, but that doesn't mean that mean it's events are expectable, the future will always be bound to uncertainity, no matter how high the possibilities, so I agree with you in this point.

To recieve information regarding the future in the form of visions does keep it's discreption as "the future" since the seen event or recieved information is neither happening currently to be called "the present" nor has already happened to be called "the past", but also this information doesn't cancel "the future's" uncertainity, it is to be considered as one of the possible possibilities.
So what if someone fortold something and didn't happen, am I a "false foreteller", I would say no since I gave a possibility not a fact, like in mathematics some equations have multiple answers, but not all of them can be taken account that is because the others doesn't suit the situation of the equation.

Personally I see predicting the future as a useless ability, since it is not neccasirily a fact and if it happened it can be a double edged sword, for an example if I foresaw someone's death I will be sad and try to stop it, but if I failed I will feel grief again added with the grief of failure and even it can be possible that my efforts to save this person is the reason for this possibility to happen; other than this scenario is the one if I forsaw the a happy event so I can get happy twice (of course you consider spoiling the surprise as a bad thing), of course there is also a problem in this situation, which is you don't what should you do to casue this event, is it doing nothin, or doing whatever you can?

knowing the future and deciding to change it is free will
and i am going to attempt the best explination that i can alright?
first of all, when i started looking for these things i knew i was either going to spend time looking for them, or spend time trying to explain them, i decided i wanted to know more about them than have the ability to communicate them.
i called the concepts of nature as they were concepts -genneral ideas
of nature - nature meaning in this sence, natural realality, realality as it is and cnnot be changed out of... this requires more explaing and even with it the prrof on it i dont have yet if ever, be taht is it may, the name is not one of the concepts, just a name, you can yell at me about this later. btw pleese dont say something like me changing this argument, i didnt i havent, i dont plan to unless you so majesically proove me wrong, to be honest, i dont know if i could simply accept the logic you give me, however, i will take it as a loss and consider it to be disproved even though i do have other logic to back up this type of thing. concept that im defending right now is the concept of fre will, namely, taht i do not belive there is free will as you pointed out chriss, a diference between the body and the mind in terms of free will being present, we both could agree taht physical - body had no free will. now on to the mind again. This all came from an idea that noone seems to do anything unless they're forced to, this was just a general observation that jumped into me head when i was hearing about a native american reservation or something on the news, that noone seems to do anything unles they are forced. That was the origin, now, i knew this about the ody, i know no free will in the body, tahts a very basic thing, however, we seem to belive taht the mind has free will, alright, lets take a decision shall we? erm, how about, the decision to take controll over myself. lets say taht I decide to take controll over myself, i decide to take over all emotion, everything i feel, so that i cannot honestly say i feel anything without knowing that i could just as easyly turn it off, however, as you put it, honest emotion would still exist, all that needs is practice to get rid of. now i have made this decision, the first thing taht we have to ask, is why, why did jake choose to become in controll of himself? the answer is to learn, to find out more, to discover, to get new information, this is what i am doing with these concepts, im using them to explain to understand, to figure out how this universe works, not physically, but conceptually.
ok we know this now, Jake chooses to gain controll over himself, why? because he wants to learn primarrilly about the concepts and how they work, again, we ask why, why does jake want to learn? jake learns because he wants to create, he learns because he wants to take this knowlege and create out of it something new, Why? why why why why, this continues for a while, and eventually leads down to the very person taht you are, could also be seen as your values,or perhaps what makes you fire earth wind or water, or omni, whatever yo call it, its what values you have, this is Who you are, your personallity as i call it although the actually definition of personality might me somewhat different (i once called it "the who you are " abreviated WYA, cahnged it to this, slightly more apporopriate) anywyay, this is the first of things that makes up our will. The second this that makes up our will is what we observe, the personality determines what we take away from these observations, what we get out of it, the conclusions that we recive, alright now, our observations are being passed throught his filter of a personality to create logic no? different people with different personalitys experiencing the same observatiosn will make different conclusions because of their personalitys. now, we know taht the personality will be what creates the logic, but the fuel so to speak, for this logic, is the observation, the experience. how it is processed to make logic is the personality,

OK, I never finished this, And I don't plan to really, I tend to believe taht because the universe follows logic, and that logic implys one thing must cause another, and that that cause will have had that effect not randomly, but specifically, upon the afected object, then everything must lie in procession, and if everything lies in procession, we have no choise but to go in that direction. It works like this, in a free will system, there is an infinate plane that we stand upon, and an advancing wal that pushes us in one direction, that being time, but in my version, our constraints are such by logic, and that noone ever does anytihng unless they must do it, it is like a very narrow corridor, both walls being the constraints of our possibilitys, that are limed by use of rational thought, and there is the slowly advancing third wall pressing us along. we have no choise but to walk in one direction, even if we walk in another, before very long at all we must go back to walking in that origional direction.
spelling and grammer!?!? BAH!!! I shun it!

The way I understand your view of the future is that it is unevadeable and thus you see that if you fortold the future you will see something that is going to happen and there is noway it can be changed, so you see foretelling the future in a positive way. ( correct me if I am wrong )
In this idea there is a problem which is this question, how do you know that the future you foretold is the one that will happen? You said that our world relies on logic and that each action causes another, since we can't predict each persons actions which results in not knowing the outcomes, but we can give possibilities and each one has it's results, which leads us back that the future is bound to uncertainity.

commenting on your idea that a person can get rid of his emotions if he practiced enough, let me say this not possible and if it is then it is not a good thing to do, because emotions are a way for you to live and protect yourself, like feeling pain when you are hirt is a defensive respond from the body to protect itself, sadness and happiness is to give you ability to deal with people since you can't do everything by yourself.
