Okay, here's my problem: everytime I want to change my signature a bit, it always comes up: "signature is too long"...now I know I've had this problem already once...but, it's really bugging me cuz I want to be able to edit my signature every once in a while without the stupid thing telling to that it's "too long" of a signature. Is there any way to fix this or do I have to get rid of that cool signature that says "If you can dream it, then you can do it" ? Cuz, I really don't want to get rid of it...I just want to be able to edit my signature when I please....Can anyone help me?

Katie, if this is the same problem about which you had already reported when you couldn't put the signature because the link was too long, try it again but this time save the picture on your computer first and give it shorter name. From what I know only URL are available as to signatures, therefore you will have to inset it in on the enabling it sites (photbucket, putfile, dropshots etc).

Looking it how big a sig is now as shehad that before limt system came into effect (so would't update) that sig is way over the limts set.

She couldn't updated the signature. It looked like the problem with the link, not with the signature.

If this one is too big what are the new limits, then?

The long link problem only happens with avatars; It shouldn't happen with a sig(theres enough space even if you copied a link from Google). The reason its acting up is because of all the spaces she added. I think the limit is either 15 lines of text or 5 lines of text with a banner...But her current is 15 lines of text and a banner plus some extra spacing which is really like 20+ lines according to to the forum.
If she tried to update her sig now, the problem isn't the link, its the amount of lines shes used up.
Try taking out all the BBCodes the [b] and [color=#435434] stuff, that takes up space and see what happens.

Okay, I tried getting rid of the color and other unessary things...I even tried deleting such things like the "Winged Dragon of Ra poem"....but, it still said the signature was too long....I'm really confused....

How come the color is still there then?
If you tried to edit it by taking color off and shortening all un-necessary then how is it you retained your previous signature state without getting an error message? Its a little baffling.

Perhaps she coped and paste her orginal signature... I always save my signatures in a word-pad file. Anyway I didn't have any problems with this problem lately but I remember a few times it wouldn't let me upload some of my sigs or text also.

But wouldn't she get an error if she tried to paste MORE lines as opposed to taking AWAY lines and making it smaller?

Look here's what I did: I went to my signature and deleted the color and things...without deleting anything and it said "too many lines" or something like that...so I went back and deleted the "Winged Dragon of Ra" poem and one of Vegeta's quotes...but, after that it said the signature was "too long....so I just left it alone and that's why the signature is still the same.... Look, since I want to be able to change my signature...I'm getting rid of the "If you dream then you can did it" thing...And I'm sorry to, but I want to really beable to change my signature...

Thanks, though, for trying to help me...And if I ever want the "If you can do it, you can dream it" thing back...then I will try to figure out how to put it back myself...cuz, that will be a good lesson for me...well, you can close this topic up now and I promise I won't bother you can this again...
