What a good way to start this year ? getting some free cards from YGOL =o

Yes these are all the "real" set versions so like mirror force is the ultra rare from MRD etc.

Some of these are 1st edition ones too like all 3 share exodia cards etc

There will be TWO (maybe more) ways to get some of these cards (not sure how they will be given out in terms of which cards etc)

One way should be by a TCG tournment (being since not had offical one for a while) not sure thou as of cheaters etc just to "win the cards" etc but shall see, you better get your decks all sorted out ready anyways

Note : DOESNT MATTER WHERE IN THE WORLD YOU LIVE TO GET THESE CARDS THEY WILL BE POSTED WORLDWIDE. Just to make that clear.

That is a promising idea, as you said there hasn't been a official tournament is quite some time. However, I do see a few problems that could occur, cheating yes but also misrepresentation, and members using multiple chat systems to greater their advantage.
I propose if you do host another tournament, that you get the participants ( be it aim, msn, or yahoo) screen-name.

Mickey if you want to make shure that people dont cheat in your tournament I sugest you have the duels on YVD and have the duels get loged, that way you can see the duel and make shure that they didnt cheat (most people get yvd because they want to make shure that their opponent doesnt cheat, that and the duels are way faster).

Horray for YGOL tourney. I'm all down for a new tournament and will be ready for it when it comes about. Though this time I think there should be a time limit down for members to duel each other as last time it went way too long. Members have ways of contacting each other, IM, PM, chat, etc. A disclaimer should be made that will a winner by default for incomplete matches. Something to the lines that one person would say that the other didnt show up or something and declare a winner that way. IF there is discrepancy as to who didnt show, have them duel in the YGOL chatroom in under 48 hours and copy and paste the duel and send u a copy of that duel and make it their responsiblity to send one to u at this stage. If that fails, both would be disqualified. That would motivate one or both to send u proof of the duel and etc.

Tournament time? Count me in! I will of course make the necessary adjustments to my dragon deck and throw in a few suprises. good luck to the YGOL 4!

Tourney sounds great. Just throw me a link to where I'll lose then ask for pity prizes. LoL. Yeah I know I'm not funny. But I've seen other sites do card duels and was wondering how you do it here, if help is at all available.

As for the lots here are my ideas.

-Community Choice Award: Favourite Member as voted by the YGOL forum members.

Don't really know about the 4th, maybe runner's up in the tournament??

Those lot ideas wouldn't influence anybody to participate. I like the idea of a tournament and will probably take part, it could be time consuming though.

To me, tournaments are all about just winning the thing, getting the bragging rights for the top 3 or so duelists, and the fact that we can get a prize is just icing on the cake. There is no need for favorite members and what not. Competition is for deciding who is the best and claiming titles until the next time competition rises. OF course this is just me.

Well I don't see how you're gonna throw 4 tournaments, each for 1 lot.

Well... time will tell how the prices will be handed out I gues. Any idea's are welcome ^^

I think one lot should be tournament wise, another should be by one of the quizzes on the main site (Guess Who or Which Episode), a third by lottery, and the fourth (I'm outta ideas). Though I do know that voting will not work as who is going to vote for someone else when they themselves will want the cards. Even those who dont play the game and easily turn it around for a profit. U could also give the fourth lot to the runner up. Those are my ideas and everyone has the same chance at winning, given the knowledge.

I love the quiz idea. Seems like a lot of fun, but how would it work, over a very large group of msn contacts, the site???

On the main site we have a quiz setup. Though I do believe that the one up currently hasnt been solved and its been up for a while. But we could use that for one lot though.
