Anime! It's been said; anime is a continuation of episodes, each one in chronological order, starting where the last one left off. It's one big story line. Cartoons, on the other hand, may sometimes have some sort of continuation but are usually just all over the place, in each new episode there's a problem and a solution that are unrelated to the previous episode.

Plus, anime characters are drawn with so much more detail. I'm one of those people that get annoyed with bad animation which is why I simply stick to anime. [Anime characters eye's are awesome.. they kick royal butt ]

GX is great huh? take a closer look at GX and then to the original Yu-gi-oh, then tell me witch one is better.

i admit at first i liked GX alot, but after awhile it just become stupid. too many poitless duels(mostly resolved around Judai witch makes the outcome of the duel predicluble(sp?) there for no point in watching it), characters got new personalities or turn evil for no aperent reason at all and some of the new monsters are just plain wierd. the creator of the show NEEDS to get better ideas for the plot line of the sereies fast OR start a new show other then yugioh :dots:

Ever so predictably... Anime.

It is very real-like, unlike some mutilated-looking people in cartoons, realistic plotlines instead of some uber cool monster or superhero repetitiously bashing random "bad guys" for no apparent reason or plot, everything is as close to life as possible - if you get injured, you suffer the way you actually would instead of being hit with a huge pan, jumping up to feet and running on like nothing ever happened.

I do recall a real event where, after watching Tom and Jerry cartoons, some kid actually hit another kid with something heavy, expecting him to get up afterwards. Needless to say, that kid got admitted to hospital with (luckily) a mild case of concussion. Cartoons sometimes create a distorted sense of reality because little kids cannot pick out what is real and what - isn't. After watching them, they might get the idea that hitting someone or throwing a shelf on someone's head is nothing special, since his favourite cartoon heroes do that all the time. They will, quite logically, expect their victim to get up straight afterwards as if nothing had happened. Imagine how they feel when they don't.

Of course, of course, not all of the cartoons are that way. Take for example Latvian cartoons, but I doubt many (if any) of you have seen them. An example would be The Three Musketeers animation (co-work with Denmark, I think) and Rescue Team. The latter is quite funny and I grew up with it. Oh, the sentiment... They used little dolls to create those shows, complete with small houses and everything else you can see there. Also the voicing is funny enough and understandable in EVERY language. Cannot say it about the Musketeers though, since I have yet to watch it, but the Rescue Team... *le sigh*

To sum it all up, anime is far less "dangerous" or "bad influence." It just shows us how the real life actually is, with all the consequences. So, all of this weighed down, I'll stick with anime. And Latvian cartoons. XD

Anime ,for most of the reasons mentioned above . Love the drawings, (wish I could draw like that) the plot lines of each episode actually make sense and mean something to the whole story most of the time. But mainly I feel like I have outgrown childish cartoons.

Exactly the same as I thinks. I would always choose a good anime instead of a good cartoon, because there´s just put much more work in for the little detail in an anime, than there is in a cartoon, which gives the characters much more personality.

[font=Arial Black]I would favor anime rather than cartoons.
[size=6][font=Arial]Cartoons are much appealing to the younger children, but anime can appeal to a lot of different people and shows mature but sensitive in their shows

No question anime is richer and more complex. Cartoons are great for their lightheartedness. I still get a chuckle watching the occassional Scooby-Do ep, but I would go out of my way to see the anime ones I follow. It's a shame Yugioh is over (I can't get into GX); I really enjoyed that one. I haven't found a replacement yet.

You got to choose cartoons because they dont have to make sense, the simpsons, family guy, futurama, South park, Invader Zim, Courage the cowardly dog, Gi Joe, Ninja turtles, Fairly odd parents and This one is 3d Beast Wars are some of the greatest cartoons and im not dissing anime i love anime but some just suck.So i give my vote to cartoons because cartoons are the source of laughter its awesome hahahahahahaha!i actually i think its a tie (=

ich liebe(love) to draw anime.

I could i forget X-men!

I vote for Anime. I like a storyline in a show and cartoons usually are just random events in the characters lives. In an Anime you see what happens to the characters all most everyday and we watch as they try to solve bigger problems than a small one that only lasts for a single episodes.

Also, the Anime drawings are more real. They show the bone structure, all most every wrinkle in the clothes, everything is in extreame detail. Cartoons usually look like they are quickly drawn, though the lip movements are a little better in cartoons than Animes.

I love Anime more than cartoons because in anime they can do almost anything that they. While in cartoons to a point are limited so that they can be kid friendly.

Anime is better! The characters are better looking and have cool hairstyles! There is a better plot in anime and it seems more realistic

The plotline for anime is usually a continoues series, whereas cartoons are usually just episodes just kinda thrown atcha (with not too much of a particular order). ALTHOUGH, that is sometimes a good thing. With a cartoon, you can normally tune into any episode and understand whats going on (assuming you atleast know the basis of the show) but with anime, if you miss a few episdes you become completely lost (or take a while in catching up)
Meh, I personally like long series'=) So I pick anime. Mind you, I'm picky with graphics and those of cartoons aren't on par with those of anime. :D
