Plus, anime characters are drawn with so much more detail. I'm one of those people that get annoyed with bad animation which is why I simply stick to anime. [Anime characters eye's are awesome.. they kick royal butt

i admit at first i liked GX alot, but after awhile it just become stupid. too many poitless duels(mostly resolved around Judai witch makes the outcome of the duel predicluble(sp?) there for no point in watching it), characters got new personalities or turn evil for no aperent reason at all and some of the new monsters are just plain wierd. the creator of the show NEEDS to get better ideas for the plot line of the sereies fast OR start a new show other then yugioh

It is very real-like, unlike some mutilated-looking people in cartoons, realistic plotlines instead of some uber cool monster or superhero repetitiously bashing random "bad guys" for no apparent reason or plot, everything is as close to life as possible - if you get injured, you suffer the way you actually would instead of being hit with a huge pan, jumping up to feet and running on like nothing ever happened.
I do recall a real event where, after watching Tom and Jerry cartoons, some kid actually hit another kid with something heavy, expecting him to get up afterwards. Needless to say, that kid got admitted to hospital with (luckily) a mild case of concussion. Cartoons sometimes create a distorted sense of reality because little kids cannot pick out what is real and what - isn't. After watching them, they might get the idea that hitting someone or throwing a shelf on someone's head is nothing special, since his favourite cartoon heroes do that all the time. They will, quite logically, expect their victim to get up straight afterwards as if nothing had happened. Imagine how they feel when they don't.
Of course, of course, not all of the cartoons are that way. Take for example Latvian cartoons, but I doubt many (if any) of you have seen them. An example would be The Three Musketeers animation (co-work with Denmark, I think) and Rescue Team. The latter is quite funny and I grew up with it. Oh, the sentiment... They used little dolls to create those shows, complete with small houses and everything else you can see there. Also the voicing is funny enough and understandable in EVERY language. Cannot say it about the Musketeers though, since I have yet to watch it, but the Rescue Team... *le sigh*
To sum it all up, anime is far less "dangerous" or "bad influence." It just shows us how the real life actually is, with all the consequences. So, all of this weighed down, I'll stick with anime. And Latvian cartoons. XD

Then why do I feel older than the world itself?

[size=6][font=Arial]Cartoons are much appealing to the younger children, but anime can appeal to a lot of different people and shows mature but sensitive in their shows

Also, the Anime drawings are more real. They show the bone structure, all most every wrinkle in the clothes, everything is in extreame detail. Cartoons usually look like they are quickly drawn, though the lip movements are a little better in cartoons than Animes.

Meh, I personally like long series'=) So I pick anime. Mind you, I'm picky with graphics and those of cartoons aren't on par with those of anime.
