The spell is broken. The witches on "Charmed" won't be making the move when the WB network combines forces with UPN to become the CW network in the fall.

A WB spokesman confirmed a TV Guide report on Friday that said the supernatural series, which stars Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs, will end after eight seasons in May.

With "7th Heaven" having already announced its exit, it means that two WB long-running series won't move to the CW. The WB and UPN will both shut down in September.

The final episode of "Charmed" will air on May 21, TV Guide said.

"It's been a hell of a run," Brad Kern, executive producer, told the magazine. "But all good things must come to an end."

first off i think this CW is going to be a good move but it's going to take some good shows off the air like this one >_<
anyway just wanted to put up this topic to see whos sad to see it go and maybe what's your fav episode and who do you like best of the show

OMGOSH!!! i cant believe there axing chamred! *shocked* Im so sad now....they stopped showing it in australia already! But i guess the show was past the due date, the episodes were just getting lamer and lamer.... My favourite episode is That '70s Episode in season 1....yes i watched charmed from the start...n i guess i like pheobe in the whole show! she so funny, but her powers suck:P my second favourite would be PRUE!!!! and cole!! PRUE ROCKED!!! firing her was SUCH a bad decision!!! and cole was kool coz he had so many powers!!!

They stop making new ones?! That sucks! I really like the show and try to watch every episode. I guess I haven't missed more then 2 of all the 7 seasons which has been showed here...
So I'm kinda feeling sad that it will end. Though 8 seasons of one show is quite much. I just hoped it wouldn't have to stop anytime soon..

Anyways, as for my favorite episode.. I don't really know. I got so much of them I can't really choose. Though the first episode of season 6 (Valkiry Vikings or something like that, that they go to that island to save Leo) is definitly high on my list.
My fav characters are/were : Phoebe, Piper, Chris, Wyatt and Cole.

The WB is also maybe cancelling my favourite show One Tree Hill...which would suck...seriously

I don't know much about Charmed, but they shouldn't cancel it because it's so well known!!

Just so you know, the show was ending either way. The contracts of the girls are up and they do not wish to continue from what I heard. Also, since the beginning of the season Brad Kern has repeated again and again that he is writing a SERIES finale.

Also, what's this about One Tree Hill!? I could swear I saw leaflets with this show being mentionned as succeeding in making the move to CW...

I'm addicted to this myself, may start collecting all those Dvds now

I know I can't believe that Charmed is going to finally end =( But hey you know what they say....Great things can't last forever...and hey there's always the seasons on DVD =)

I have a couple of the seasons already I love this show and it's ultimately one of my favorite shows ever!

Im gonna miss charmed i watched it since i was 6 and i just finished watching season 8 on veoh last week personally i thought that this was the worst series because it only focused on billy and christy rather than the girls so the show lost its individuality so now im watching all seasons again and im half way through season 1. Did anyone see that after shannen doherty left that the whole show kinda collapsed seasons 1 2 and 3 are the best and then everything else just falls in behind it
