Important Announcement!
Well the forum has been updated it's big version step up from what we have been running for god knows how long.
The mods to our forum (arcade etc are gone for the time being, I'll see what I can readd when get a chance) gallery and download systems are also latest versions (they are made by the company who makes the forum software itself [invision])
I'll get a shoutbox up asap if I can for the odd lurker.

If you think that you can become a loyal member this way then you're wrong. Cause it's very clear what you're doing. You're just posting without a brain to get a high enough post count. What you don't now (at least that's how it looks) is that you also need to post normaly and not just .... and click another post

Yeah, Its annoying... but I gotta say its no where NEAR as bad as it used to be when the Download section first came into being... Thats why So many more mods and Admins were apointed XD
All of the Now, Mini Admins, used to be just plain mods simply because not too many were needed we had like 100 members 0_o, and a good deal weren't active, so more like 20! XD If you can Imagine that.
So we stamp out any signs of A noob uprising as soon as it starts...Dakura especially... :Doom: <--- Police Woman of YGOL...hehe
That SnH guy won't/didn't (could be on perm suspend, I'm not sure, haven't checked) last long...

Interesting article, I was already thinking about what a N00b could be (you can't find that word in a dictionary) but I was afraid to ask (would sound rather stupid don't you think. :blush:

Everyone can be a n00b if he wants to, I think. Sure, it will take a while to type everything out etc, but I'm sure everyone can be (if he/she wants to (not that anyone wants to...) )
And Setoke, don't worry about not knowing what they say; I can read it pretty well, not that I'm proud of it, but they don't say much interesting stuff. Now everyone is probably wondering how on earth I can read that and most others not, well, trust me, in the Netherlands people tend to type a lot like that (mostly on msn) so you get used to it. It is a bit less then you sometimes see, but it's still pretty bad...

If you want to dispute this, we'll have to go into an ages past debate on Meanings of word emphasis, I already had this with my mum, I AINT doing it again anytime soon...like...this lifetime x_x
N00bs are pretty distinquishable.
But people also use the n00b suffix as an Insult too, so its somtimes hard to seperate the Noun and the Adjective from each other.
As they are seperate...
I mean... look at this way, In maple story I train at Fire drakes, I come in, and some ignoramus Shouts 'CC PLZ' (English: Change Channels, Please) ...and obviously I argue the case that theres enough room for 2 people, it quickly dejenerates into a battle of Ksing (kill stealing) In which in the case of a Theif, I usually lose. He can laugh like a tard and call me a n00b all he wants.
But its in the veiw of his eyes, because of his arrogent attiude and higher level.
It doesn't make me a n00b. Its sometimes just an insult.

I don't mean to sound negative but in my opinion most of these people you are calling noobs are people who are new to forums in general and just need to be given time to adjust to the community.
I realy dont think noobs are a bad thing. Most of them do turn out to be good members if given a chance.

While that may be true LordofDarkness, this was the first online community that I have ever been a part of and I didnt start out with warnings of noobishness (though some ppl would have said that I was a leecher, which back then was actually true). It has been 4-5 months as a member here, and I have not once gotten a warning or anything of the such. U dont really even need to know the rules truly to become a good member, though for some of the more specialized rulings u do. The only time that I was told to not do something or change something was when it was a more specific type of rule such as the ruling on sigs and no posting of links (which has been removed, yay, hooray, whatever).

If you look carefully Lordofdarkness you'll notice that most people here have nothing whatsoever against newbies. Newbies are cool... newbies are welcome here. Infact at one stage or another we all were a newbie to forums such as YGOL. It's n00bs that people such as myself have a problem with.
n00bs for starters are unable to comprehend the idea of authority. I mean most members have done stupid stuff when they first came here... heck i even created a topic in the wrong forum when i first joined. If the member appologises for their mistake and takes note not to repeat it again then the person is simply a newbie. If they turn around and start flamming the living daylights out of you, swearing and cussing like mad while claiming the mods are stuck-up power abusing jerks (and other things that do get rather repedative after a while)... then they are a n00b.
