A brand new Yuugiou movie is set to hit Japan theatres in January of 2010.
Apparently it will be in 3D as well.
An odd combination. I myself have never seen an animated movie that contains eye-popping three-dimensional graphics before.
Anyway, as you can see on the movie poster, it shows all three of our beloved Yuugiou Protagonists.
They have to join forces to battle the villain PARADOX, who is some kind of madman who can time travel and plans to destroy the world (charming).
Their adventure begins when Paradox steals Yuusei's Stardust Dragon card.
Trying to catch him, Yuusei falls in a time hole and meets up with Juudai.
During their search, Juudei uses his powers to gain information on Stardust Dragon's whereabouts, where they eventually transport to Yuugi's time.
They find Paradox...and then they battle, and they win, and the world is now safe again, blah blah blah.
Well, to me, the storyline sounds corny, if not hysterical.
But I like to keep in mind that the original Yuugiou DM movie was just as bad.
Side-stories get too far off track.
I'm excited to see that they are putting all three characters on the big scene and not just making this a Yuugiou 5D's movie.
A lot of fans were hoping to see Yuugi and Juudai ride a D-Wheel, but I don't think that's going to happen.
We can now only wait to see if 4KIDS will be licensing the movie.
Yuugiou hype in North America isn't what it used to be.
