Firstly, YGOL will soon no longer be YGOL (our old members bet still will be thou :3) We will be having a name change and domain (ygol etc domains will still work just wont be main) and no we aint changing to some forum for painters ? XD more general anime (so ygo will still have episodes,places to chat about it and so on)

Slowly as we think on stuff to refresh/change we will do stuff. Like now I have updated the actual download system itself (click on a screenshot on a file =p umm isnt ajaxx such a lovely progaming lang)

BIG DOWNLOAD NEWS:

ALL USER GROUPS CAN NOW DOWNLOAD FROM ANY SECTION AND DOWNLOAD AS MUCH AS THEY WANT. THERE WILL BE NO MORE DAILY LIMITS!!! SO 5 OR 10 DAILY LIMITS FOR THE NEWBIE/LOYAL USER GROUPS.

MC users you're name will be changed (group wise) to something to say how you've helped the site out. If you want to keep your subscription thats fine to help donate funds still. If you don't then please do cancle the subscription in paypal and so on. Whenever you're subscription expires. PM or email ME and I'll move you back into that user group for good (still get more pm space and so on and will try to add other nice things for that group)

Also forums are changing abit with new sections being added, others being merged so may have to look twice to find a topic you had and so on.

Any name won't work, since I think we need a name to show that this an anime forum.
Some people are attracted to cool names, but more people attracted to anime in general, but if you have a cool name then say it maybe Mickey will like it.

I don't know why you said that, but I would suggest your new come back, by suggesting a new name for the site, one that fits for a forum anime in general instead of just yugioh.
And a question for mickey, have you ever considered allowing religous debates on the forum or ones about politics?

May I give some particular information before the answer from the 'almighty' comes...

For any kind of discussion but those which have their own section, there is General Chat.
If some of the topics made there received their separate place it would automatically inform others that they are allowed to touch the matters in any way they see it necessary, as long as it is within the subject-matter.
Imagine a section called "Religion" and they way it would be penetrated by many. This is the main reason why there is a rule against topics religion-oriented.
Those are rather abrasive matters... and not popular enough to own private room. Including "attractivness" and the boundaries it would have to be conditioned upon, there wouldn't be too many posts. Leave along topics.

General Chat comprises all the topics one wants to discuss.
If we were to create a section for religion or politics we would have to do so with the rest of similar-level topics in order not to turn the forum into anime-religion-politics... one.

Actually in my view, both may attract many many topics, considering the world's current state, I know the problem that may occur, so you can consider it a double edged weapon, but you don't becessary need to give it a whole section, just allow them in the general chat section.
Besides the big problems and the most annoying ones are bought by noobs, I am not sure about this, but don't you think noobs implys that this forum is known to some extent.

Discussion about religious, political issues isn't prohibited. General Chat is open to welcome them. At this point it remains especially silent, though.
The rule concerns offence solely.
The forum had gone through many conflicts evolving from the matters which were initiated in an innocent way but gradully stimulated by including more emotional attitude. People seized on various means in order to strenghten their arguments. And it seemed to be ordinary members who began.
N00bs do it much more directly and expressively. This is the only difference, while mainly means happen to remain the same.

N00bs are selfish and don't share what they found unless they plan to do the massive attack in revenge (for creating rules, for creating the forum that doesn't fulfil all their whims, etc.). The traces of them disappear rather quickly as well.
And if forum were to be famous for 'members' like n00bs then I wouldn't call its reputation good.
