It's been year-after-year of disappointing releases for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans. Right after the first GBA release (Eternal Duelist Soul), things went downhill for this gaming franchise in terms of quality; poor gameplay, horrible battle system, and not to mention a huge portion of the card library missing from the game (therefore hampering player's creativity of creating powerful decks with solid strategy).
And now comes the seventh Yu-Gi-Oh! game release for GBA which is Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2006. Has Konami learned from its past mistakes this time?
A couple of things to start off,
NO it doesn't boast nice graphics or awesome effects; just be thankful that the card images look fantastic.
As you can see, a simple card battle interface. No "pizazz", no anything. However, just because the game lacks good graphics and effects unlike the previous release (Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Academy for GBA) doesn't mean that the game is horrible. Fortunately Konami was able to back up this statement well for there is one factor in this game which made all the difference between being an excellent game release, and being another lame mediocre game which would displease its fans (for the umpteenth time); Konami developers packed in
2060 cards (
yes I know Konami said it was 2080, but I'm not counting all the cheap duplicates Konami threw in there)! For those players that have been frustrated from creating a dream deck just to have it limited by missing cards will not experience this problem much compared to the previous game releases in which more than half of the card library is missing. However, Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2006 is still missing a few cards (including Different Dimension Dragon) but Konami did put in more effort this time in this release for they used the biggest GBA cart size possible (256 Mbit). A lot of brand new cards are featured including Guardian Monsters (don't expect Guardian Eatos though), Level-up Monsters, and the three powerful demon monsters, Raviel, Hamon, and Uria (which are synonimous to Egyptian God cards in a way) along with good old classics such as Dark Magician, Change of Heart, Raigeki and Blue Eyes White Dragon. Even Vampire Lord which has been the card missing in the previous releases is now available in this game for expert mode! Players using undead-themed decks will go nuts for this! 60 decks can be created and saved in this game (which is very nice for this game requires more than one well-built deck to win certain duels).
A huge card library featuring a whopping collection of 2060 unique cards total! See if you can collect them all!
Oh, did I mention that Vampire Lord is in this game? You can now duel with this monster with expert rules! As for opponents, there is nothing TV-spectacular about them for NONE of the characters from the TV show series make their appearance in this game. All your opponents are just duel monsters, but don't expect anything less from them; the opponents have well-built decks and a smart AI to crush you with. For instance, Goblin King in the second tier has a strong combo to help his level 4 goblin monsters with 2000+ ATK that will hardly give you any chance to fight back, and Infernal Flame Emperor in tier 3 has a deck that will give you a run for your money as your lifepoints are hopelessly drained by his unstoppable LP burning combo (and you can't even attack!).
Just duel monsters as opponents. Nothing special about these guys right? Well challenge one of them yourself and be surprised!Of course this game isn't all about dueling computer opponents with cheap decks; there are challenges included in this game as well. Duel puzzles, limited theme decks, and survival mode will keep you occupied once you are tired of beating (or losing to) computer duel opponents, giving you more variety of gameplay. If that isn't enough, you can link up to a friend who also has this game and duel him/her to see which one of you is a better duelist!
This release is also the official game for the upcoming tournament this year! So if you want to participate in this year's Konami tournament, pick up this pack and start practicing and building up the deck of your dreams for your victory in this year's Konami tournament depends on it!
In short, an excellent Yu-Gi-Oh! game with lots of features, excellent library of cards which offers numerous of deck possibilities as well as a lot of replayability. Yu-Gi-Oh! fans finally have a decent game to enjoy.

Finally, a Yu-Gi-Oh game that provides a challange! Perhaps a little too much of a challange. This game works in a bit of an RPG style, which is nice to see. You play as a young duelist, wanting to make a name for himself.
You travel around the world with your friends, Yugi and Joey, trying to discover things about the mysterious Reshef, and the even more mysterieous man trying to bring him back, Sol Chevalsky.
The game starts off nice and easy. You'll get a good starting deck with fairly good cards and to get stronger cards, you must increase your deck capacity.
As the game goes on, the story unfolds and we discover some very interesting things about this Sol character, who does look rather familiar...
Anyhow, this is a must have Yu-Gi-Oh game, and seeing as it's fairly old, you could pick it up rather cheap now. And who could pass up a game with talking Pegasus zucini's? If you've played the game and finished it, you'll know what I mean.
All in all, I'd give this game a 7 out of 10. It had its downpoints, and it got a little too hard near the end, so I wouldn't reccomend this game for Yu-Gi-Oh newbies.

Otherwise good sequel to the MegaMan Zero series, the story takes place years after the elf wars and reploids and humans have made peace with each other. But all is not well as a company known as Slither Inc is plotting to control the world using the Biometal W which was formed when Zero defeated Ragnarock in Megamn Zero 4. Its up to a young boy/girl(depending on what character you want to use) to stop them using biometals scatterd all around the country.
Gameplay - 9/10
The gameplay is pretty straight forward, its really traveling around defeating mavericks using the biometals you obtain in the story. The gameplay also inherits the elements from megaman x series like obtaining Hear tanks, lifebars and upgrades. You select mission that you need to complete, the mission order is pretty much not fixed so you can choose any mission. When facing bosses they have a weak point, its it where the Biometal they are is stored, even though hitting it deals more damage, it decreases the level of the victory, hitting it where the biometal is not located will increase the LV victory thus incresing the level of the biometal.
Biometals are bascilly metals that you use to fight, whle progresiing through the game you can beat bosses and get there biometals to increase your power, the Biometals are spirirts from past megaman x and zero games so you can become like
Fefnir, Harpuia , Leviathan, Phantom from megaman zero and you can become like
X and
Zero.Music - 8/10
The music is alright but abit o a let down in some stages
Other - 9/10
The animated addons to this is what maes this game a classic, even though we never got english voices in the game its still enjoyable to most.
Overall
This game has what it takes to be good, has replay value, can also use your MMZ games to battle bosses in this game, Omega Zero is in as an optional boss, and like MMZ 1, ZX gets the job done but it leaves room for improvment.

IntroductionThis is a solid monster taming RPG. Does nothing new in the genre but take the standard monster training formula of it's predecessors (Pokémon) but adds its own Digimon twist. You won't find any of the TV characters in this game so it is the perfect even for people unfamiliar with the franchise. So without any TV tie ins to tie it down it does some new (and some old) things that you might be familiar with.
The story itself centers around your character. Seeing monsters at one of the PCs while browsing the web on one of the school's computers he is sucked into the digital world where humans and digital monsters, aka Digimon, partner together to become stronger and, eventually, digivolve. Seeing some of these monsters upon arrival your character is naturally drawn to them and quickly find yourself signing up to become a "tamer", a human who trains Digimon and takes them up as partners, yourself. Then through a series of events you are drawn into a series of events and a contest to be crowned "Tamer King".
Gameplay

Gameplay has several aspects to it. First part your party, you should be familiar with. You can have up to 6 digimon in your party and when you battle via random encounters they gain experience, level up, and at some point digivolve. There are some more aspects to battle beyond that however. Though you have 6 digimon in your party only three can battle at a time. Between those three you can set them into formations between 5 'spaces'. If they are enxt to one another certain digimon might grant each other bonuses, on the other hand that might also make them susceptible to attacks that can hit a number of spaces at once. Beyond just simply your party obviously you will be able to obtain more than 6 so the rest can stored in a "bank" of digimon. Here is where the next gameplay aspect comes in. Eventually you will obtain a DigiFarm(s) and on these farms you can raise your various digimon at the cost of food per day, which grows on the farms, and supply various training equipments for their use. As you progress through the story and misc. quests days will pass and the digimon on your farm gain EXP and the misc. bonuses associated with the equipment you provide for the farms adding another layer to gameplay as some digivolution paths may have perquisites not easily accomplished through straight battle. For example to digivolve a Tokomon into an Angemon a certain amount of Holy EXP is required which happens to be rare in the beginning of the game. To compensate training items like Phonographs, Holy Bells, and Churches may be required.
Graphics
The outside battle graphics are GBA quality(rather than the sprites, which are very well done in this game), but in battle, you will see the digimon as anime. The anime designs are very, very well done, and the background are colorful, bright, and vivid. Graphics overall: 9
Sound
The music in this game was pretty decent. In and after battle you will be easily amused by the music. Sound effects are only ok, and when you encounter a battle, the warning alarm gets really, really annoying.
Sound overall: 7
Value
This game was surprisingly good. That's all I can really say about it. If you turn down this game just because its of the digimon franchise, your missing out on A LOT. And to add to that, this game has a lot of replay value, trying to raise All the digimon and all of its multiple digivolutions.

Review Super Mario 64 DS (Nintendo DS)
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Genre: Adventure
Players: 1 mainly but up to 4 if you link
Introduction:
Almost everyone knows the title super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64. Back then when it was launched many people where amazed by the 3D graphics. And many people have it high in their top 10's. But these last few years there hasn't been one single new Mario game released by Nintendo. Unless you count all the spin-offs: Mario party, Mario Kart, Mario golf ect and so on and on..... Some people hate Nintendo for doing this that they keep releasing spin-offs and remakes and not one single new Mario game. It all started when the gameboy colour was released. Nintendo launched it with Super Mario Bros. Deluxe a remake of the original super Mario Bros. A few years later when the Gameboy advance was released guess what they did? One of the starter tittles was Super Mario Advance 1 aka Super mario bros 2 that was already released for the Super Nintendo in Super Mario All stars. Well enough with brawling about the past. Let's go on with the 'new' Mario for the Nintendo DS.
The story:
Well... as with most Mario Games there isn't that much of a (good) story. Once again Browser kidnaps Peach also know as princess Toadstool in other games. He also steals all of the (power) stars from the castle. In order for Mario and this time the others (later more about that) to rescue Peach. They must Regain all of the stars to get slowly more access to the castle, to finally get there where Bowser keeps Peach.
So not much of a story but that's not what this game is about let's go to the gameplay >>> the heart of this game.
Gameplay:
The game is an adventure and as you know you need to collect stars. The castle serves as an sort of a hub where you can get to all of the other areas if you have enough stars that is. In the castle are painting. If you jump in a painting where; let's say; water on (in the picture ^^) it's safe to say that you are going to a level with water in it.
Unlike the previous game on the Nintendo 64 where you began the game with Mario this time you begin the game with Yoshi. Yoshi has other move's then Mario but they share some common moves like jumping/crawling ect. They difference between them is that Yosi can use his tongue to eat enemy's and when he jumps he can stay a little longer in the air by tapping A.
Other then Yoshi and Mario there are two more characters in this game. Lugi And Wario. Ech character has it's own special moves. You don't have all the characters right at the start you have to free them first (note: Mario also). When that is done you can switch who you want to control in an new castle chamber. In that chamber you can also play many mini-games that you have to play using the touch-screen. You can collect more mini games by catching rabbit's. Every rabbit has a key that unlocks one mini game. So the more rabbits you catch the more mini-games that you are going to have. This surely ups the replay value as many of the mini-games are fun
Further then that there's also a new item to replace the hats in the previous game that Mario uses as an power-up like flying into the sky. Also there are hats for Yoshi to transform into the other characters (this is handy if you haven't freed them yet) although it's temporary. The new item called the power bloom gives each character an other power-up. Mario swallows into sky. Yoshi spits out fire etc.
So Nintendo did surely a good job adding new things. What also helps is that instead of 120 stars you had to collect in the previous version this time there are 150 stars to collect. There are a few new levels but these are much smaller then the original one's.
Sound:
The sound is better then ever. Using the surround system of the Ds it's better then it was before! Expect happy/fun music like in all the other Mario games.
Graphics:
The graphics are looking much better then on the Nintendo 64. First of this comes duo that the DS has a much smaller screen then the average television. And second Nintendo did a little but noticeable update on the graphics. But tough if you compare it to the console graphics it isn't that good anymore that it used to be. But hey: We're looking at an (Nintendo) Handheld en this is the best yet!
Ending:
I say if you have a DS or are going to buy a DS this game surly belong into your collection. In any collection! No doubt about it. This is the game that (almost) everyone would like!
70/100

developer: Intelligent Systems
publisher: Nintendo
Genre: Turn-Based Strategy
players: 1-8
Online: No
Platform: Nintendo DS
Release: In stores now
Introduction:
Some few years ago not many people knew about 'advance wars'. This is because the game was only released in Japan. The reason they gave was because that they thought we wouldn't like it and we wouldn't be smart enough. However in 2001 Nintendo released advance wars for the gameboy advance and it became a number 1 seller hit! The wars series is made by Intelligent Systems who also made the paper Mario games and some other games.
Story:
There isn't that much story. In the first game you played as he orange star army fighting the other army's. In the second game on the gameboy advance known as advance wars: Black hole rising the orange team has teamed up with the others teams that exist in the advance wars world because they were in fact set up to fight each other. This was the doing of the blackhole army. The other army's are known as as:
* Blue Moon
* Yellow Comet
* Green Earth
Each army has different CO's and you can see them as an sort of officer. They all have certain stats that can give them advantages over others and each co also has 2 powers that they can activate after some time.
Anyway everyone thought the black hole army was defeated but gues again? They are back... However someone else is behind their invasion know as the previous leader was defeated.
GamePlay:
This is a turn based strategy game. You can see it as chess I gues but it's much better. There are different modes that you can play. The most important mode is the Camping. This is main story of the game.
As I said before there are many different Co's. There's Rachel, Max, Andy, just to name a few. Max has a great advantage with tanks but stinks with long range units. While Andy is your allround men and can repair his units! Every co has also two powers. This is shown by little starts right under the name of your co. You can fill these stars by destroying your enemy!
Like in chess there are many different 'pieces' although in this game they are called units ^^ You can 'make' tanks, Air planes, Boats, Solders, You name it ^^ You earn your money by capturing city's with soldiers. Also really nice feature: You can control them with your stylus. It goes much faster then with the buttons!
It may look difficult but it's rather easy and fun! ^^ You will get the hang of it.
Sound:
The sound is okay, Nothing wrong with it. Although it may be too happy for a war game.
Graphics:
Bright colours like we're used to on a Nintendo handheld. Maybe a little to bright and colourful for some but the previous games sold that much... I don't believe that it is really a problem ^^
Result:
It's a great game. If you love (turn based) war games you have to buy this! It's one of the best games on the Nintendo DS! If you have a DS buy this!
90/100

Yu-gi-oh! GX is situated a few years later in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Series. The main Character is Jaden Yukki who just barely passed into duel academy, due to his test results. However, with his amazing dueling talent, and skill, he sets off on a mission to prove that test scores are not everything!
GAMEPLAY 7.5/10
The Gameplay is the old classics, with a twist. Collecting cards, buying packs and scheduelling duels are just some of the many million new twists to the game. Packs are unlocked one by one and there are certain criteria that have to be met before a certain pack is unlocked. There are in-game 'events' that make it more exciting. These can also produce free cards and, most importantly, E-mail addresses. E-mail is only used for six characters(Jaden, Syryus, Chumly, Zane, Alexis and Chazz), but they allow you to scheduel duels in the week, when you would not normallly be allowed to duel. They say yes most of the time but there are some execeptions. They ALWAYS say no on a Tuesday morning and a Friday Exam Day.
There is also an in-game tutorial, which is very long and detalied, so this can help anyone that is new. (A little secret: Beat Basiton and Alexis 3 times and read all the tutorails. You may find something new in the shop...)
Speaking of Exams, that leads me on to my next topic, exams. Exams are taken every month (with one or two exceptions) and they can change THE WHOLE GAME. They can change your dorm and, more importantly, your rank. There is a system of Ranking in this game. They range from Dropout boy, to King of games. Currently, I am writing a FAQ for the Practical Exams, but they are divided into three sectios. They are written, practical and Timed duels. To get king of games, you must answer all timed duels correctly and do 40(Alot, isn't it? May seem like only a little) of the written paper.
DUELING 5/10
Dueling is the same as it ever was, is now and ever will be. It is really like WWE, STTDD (world wide edition). There are simple cards and nothing but. If you were expecting a game like NT then you were wrong, wrong , WRONG! About the only thing that the kept from NT was the fields, which they have mde CRAPPIER. Basically, you have a square in the middle, and they replace it withe the pictures of the card in question. One thing that is good, is that when you go in for the kill, if the character is a sig character, then they do a funny animation (ESPECIALLY ALEXIS!)
STORYLINE 0/10
There is no story to play through. Just sitting around waiting for the year to pass by...
SOUND 2/10
Again, not the best Konami could ever do. But then again, all gameboy music is good for about five minuites.
RPLAY VALUE 10/10
This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! The events are different every time, there are also different oppertunities each time. What can I say ... BRILLIANT! This is what makes me give it an 8. Packs are unlocked in different orders, events happend diffferently, get different cards in each pack... I WANT MORE!
CHALLENGE LEVEL 8/10
THIS IS THE FIRST GAME OF YU-GI-OH WHICH THEY ACTUALLY PROVIDE A CHALLENGE! Yes, they may slpi up son the occasion, but they do get lucky and their challenge is of very good quality.
OVERALL 8/10
Yes, a good game indeed. This is one worth looking for. It comes with three GOOD THIS TIME Promo's so keep an eye out for it. It is worth the money if you know what to expect from a Yu-Gi-Oh Game. A fine game, watch out for the story line though.

Spiderman 2 (Nintendo DS)
Well, to start my review i'll say the game isn't bad for the price I picked it up for. You can find it generally cheap, 19.99 new, less used. It isn't the best but none the less is a decent title for the DS's launch.
Gameplay:
The game has a 2-D gameplay with 3-D environments and scenery. The scenery is nice but the gameplay isn't very nice, you use the DS's stylus to touch the "special" moves which aren't exactly strong or impressive. You will usually wind up using 1 or 2 moves the whole game since alot of them are useless. You have the face buttons for punching, kicking, webbing, jumping. Simple yet the levels are fruusterating sometimes, you have normal goals which are generally easy, then the secondary goals which usually are tougher. In these you have to complete the level's main goal and the next goal in a certain time limit. It adds for great replay value since you are forced to memorize the level to do this in the alloted time. If you are not very good at doing things fast then I suggest you don't pick up this game since this game is fast paced.
7/10
Sound: Not very amusing, I suggest putting on some headphones while you play this game in the car or something. If your playing it anywhere else just turn the volume down since the game's sounds or effects aren't anything groundbreaking or anything along the lines of worth listening to.
5/10
Graphics:
The game did not go to the DS's potential at all, in fact I think the gameboy could have almost done these graphics. And you can't use the excuse the DS was young because Super Mario DS is the example of amazing graphics for a systems release.
6/10
Extras:
All the missions extra missions should keep you busy for a while since there not exactly easy, their are unlockable moves that aren't very impressive but fun to fool around with once you have completed the game.
7/10
All in all it isn't a bad game but it isn't fantastic, you should pick it up if you want something entertaining for a while. The price is worth it
Until My Next Review,
Flamindragon
Final Rating:
7/10

No one has gained more from the advent of the airship than the kingdom of Baron. It's Mighty airfleet, known as the Red Wings, has no equal. You begin the game as the captian of the Red Wings, a Dark Knight named Cecil who is on a quest to pursue what the king orders him to.

You soon come to realize in the game that Cecil is beginning a resistance movement to find out the real intentions of the King. Along with Cecil comes a variety of different characters each with their own special talents and backgrounds. As you progress through the game you come upon many difficult challenges and many irritating bosses.

As of playing the game four times and beating it all four times it kind of makes it easy to navigate this game but for those of you that have never played a Final Fantasy game be prepared to ask for help or even look up maps because this game can be very confusing.
Over all i would give this game an 8/10 because i just love the Final Fantasy Series but if your not a serious long term gamer then i wouldnt reccommend this game for you. This game brings alot to the table that previous games failed to completely bring to the public. I will admit that this game can be kind of irritating at times because when you are fighting battles your enemies dont wait for you to choose your actions they attack you while you are choosing which can make for very long and difficult battles. The graphics of this game are the best that could have been expected. So over all i give this game an 8/10. Thank you

What's this? NintenDogs? That isn't a real game... *quickly picks another game...* This is one of the many quotes that some people give when they see this in the store. Okay, fine this isn't a real game but still give it a chance!
The last years Nintendo is trying some new things. This game is one of them. They state that this game sells so good because of the fact that everyone can play it and you don't control anyone... However some people don't like this game at all and claim that it isn't a game. Well to be honest it isn't. It's a sort of virtual pet.
The story is really basic... When you play the game for the first time you have to knock on a door. The door opens and you're in a kennel. It's then time to pick out your dog... Rather basic... Don't you agree... ^^ In fact after this there isn't any story at all...
Gameplay:
When you bought your first dog, you have to give it a name. You do that by simply calling the name... Some people have problems with this because the MIC of the DS doesn't get it right. Thus resolving in many times calling your dogs name. This isn't fun and can annoy you... because of the facts that in order for him to do tricks you have to say/yell them ^^
After you gave your dog a name... You can play with it... Take him for a walk... Teach him (or her

) new tricks. You can also stroke him, give him food, what not... Everything is being controlled with your styles. There are also contests that you can enter however you can only do them 3 times a day (real time) This is really a shame because the contest are really fun to do.
Sound:
The 'dog' sounds are okay, but the sound effects and the background music are just very basic. Could be better!
Graphics:
The dogs are very well, nothing to complain about. However the background could have been done better
But in the end it's okay ^^
Result:
If you don't know if this is the 'game' for you then first rent it and try it out. Because it isn't a real game it can tick people off and after some time it may become boring. Because you are always doing the same thing almost and because of the fact that there isn't a real end.
75/100
