From books you've read and movies you've watched are there such which left significant impact on you; any that perhaps helped you in hard times by replaying directly to your needs or those which appeared in order to turn your points of view upside down the moment when you believed that nothing could surprise you...
Are there such titles which you would like to share with others, want them to learn about...
This is the place where you can leave a piece of yourself to others and get a part in return...

I don't know if this has been posted before, or weather or not this is the right place for this topice...
But I was wondering, since '08 is almost over what are people's favourite movie/s and why. Mine would have to be
Wall-E,
Wanted,
Journey to the Center of the Earth and
House Bunny.
Why do I like
Wall-E? Because it's sooo cute and funny (I thought it was anyways) plus I got to go and see it in two countries n.n (I saw Wall-E in Hawaii when I was on hoilday and then when I came back home)
Wanted was a really cool movie and I can't wait to get it on DVD, I loved the car chases and the gun fights and the plot was awsome. I also saw this movie when I went on Hoilday and back here at home.
Me and my friend went to see
Journey to the Center of the Earth and we nearly fell out of our seats, I'm so glad it wasn't in 3D because we would have screamed more. But still it was an exticing movie and I'll also get this out on DVD n.n and no I didn't see this on Hoilday.
And then there was the
House Bunny. That was a good click flick, very funny and it shows what some people can do just to make others feel good about themselfs with a lot of make-up

I still liked it though.
So that is what I sorta think of these movies. I hope other people have some great movies that they have seen this year that they like.

Comedy is basically humourous stand-ups about everything from the simpliest of jokes to everyday life situations. They say that comedy can brighten your day and laughter is the best medicine. It takes a talented person to present this material to others. These people are known as comedians.
What's your favourite kind/s of jokes? Do you like ones about marriage or the opposite gender? Or perhaps do you much rather prefer the ones about the comedian's life?
Who's your favourite comedian/s? Is it maybe the one-line comedian Mitch Hedgeberg? Or do you much rather enjoy listening to the comical rants of Lewis Black?
And
what makes them your favourite? Is it the tone they use? Or can you simply relate to them?

What would you say is the ideal song? And no, don't go saying 'a love song' because A. that's not what this topic is about and B. love songs are utter bull...
What MAKES a song ideal? Make a list with all the components that you believe makes a song the perfect song. Also, talk about your ideas as well and give some examples of them of how they are being used today. Do you believe that any artist will ever release a song that you will find ideal?
Here's a list of what I think the ideal song should be made up on:
1. NO RHYMING
A song is automatically on my 'hate list' when I can guess what they are going to say...Songs don't have to rhyme. Rhyming shows lazyness and stupidity. And rhyming 'Night' with 'Tonight' does not count as two seperate words.
2. Proper use of terms
I hate these new dual-meaning words. A word means by what is stated in a dictionary! This also means proper use of the words 'Boy' 'Girl' and 'Baby/Babe'. A BABY/BABE is a small infant. GIRl is a young female and BOY is a young male, age 12 and under. So really, a lot of songs sound like they were written by pedophiles...
3. Speak Clearly and Pronounce words correctly
There are some songs that are nothing but gibberish and now and then the singer throws in an actual word to make it sounds like what he/she is saying is English. Also, what is with singers and not pronouncing words correctly? The word is 'YOU' not 'CHU'. And 'Wanna' and 'Gonna' are not words.
4. No repeating of words.
It's called a Thesaurus...use it.
5. No RAP
You do know what rap ACTUALLY stands for don't you?
And on a side note, no song should include fake music such as a clapper, no talking (you're singing) and no abnormal voices (use your voice). Also, no songs PERIOD that feature other singers, or parts from another song...and no remixes.
And this is why I only listen to J-POP. Only I am capable of writing lyrics that I find ideal.

March 30th strip (2003) Lynn Johnson. Retrieved December 31st 2007 from FBorFWBesides reading the stock changes and doing the daily word-search & sudoku, I like to pop to the last page and read the daily funnies. Currently, the newspaper I read has 16 different comic-strips, with a few additional ones in the Saturday paper.
My favourite comic strips are For Better or For Worse by Lynn Johnston and Pickles by Brian Crane. I also enjoy Herman by Jim Unger and Peanuts by Charles Schulz as well as my new favourites Bizarro by Dan Piraro and Overboard by Chip Dunham.
My entire family, especially my mom, have been reading Lynn Johnstons work since the beginning. I enjoy how it's about a family's daily life with regular everyday humour that we encounter. All her characters are based off real people and it's neat how everyday they grow up. I remember reading when April Patterson was just a baby and how she's already a teenager. Sadly, Lynn Johnston will soon be retiring due to a condition in her hand that makes it difficult for her to draw. As for my other favourite comics, I find them very humourous in their own unique style.
I enjoy each strip that they do. I can't pick just one. Any strip with that's funny in both pictures and words is a favourite to me. Each one is different then the next. I always wonder how each artist can make up so much new material for their work.
Now it's your turn:
Who's your favourite comic artist/s and what comic/s do they illustrate? Why do you like them? What's your favourite strip that they've done?

Okay, this is for all you Harry Potter fans out there!
Any good fan will know that a patronesses form reflects your personality. My friends and I were talking about if we had a patronus what animal would if be? See we didn't decide our own but we decide what animal fit each other from what personality traits they possess.
When they got to me they said a bull. A bull is usually a calm animal, spite its massive size(no I am not big) and a great leader. But when provoked they can be quite vicious. But then I suggested a dragonfly because they posses the same traits but they are smaller(obviously) and they agreed that a dragonfly fits me even better.
So,in your opinion, what would your patronus be?

I just finished watching a new episode of Grey's anatomy 15, which I downloaded.
recently it aired here in the netherlands and I really like it.
We ofcourse are behind on the US, so I download eps, just like with the OC.
After 15 was finished they showed a preview of ep 16 and now I soooo badly want to see it, I can't wait!
Do you watch this show, like it or not. Who's your favo character. Mine are Izzie(sp?) and George, they're funny

.
I don't like Christina she always has this weird expression on her face which I find irritating.
Please respond

The spell is broken. The witches on "Charmed" won't be making the move when the WB network combines forces with UPN to become the CW network in the fall.
A WB spokesman confirmed a TV Guide report on Friday that said the supernatural series, which stars Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs, will end after eight seasons in May.
With "7th Heaven" having already announced its exit, it means that two WB long-running series won't move to the CW. The WB and UPN will both shut down in September.
The final episode of "Charmed" will air on May 21, TV Guide said.
"It's been a hell of a run," Brad Kern, executive producer, told the magazine. "But all good things must come to an end."

The movie did go by the story okay but missed a few decent parts that were need to make this movie better and my personal opinion is that it should have never made that much money in as it did because the movie was not as good (I hated it) except for one part in the movie where "the one who shouldn't be named" has a little battle with Dumbledore(sp) and it seemed like a star wars movie with the light that came from the wand and such. Yeah but the movie it self was bad. so tell me your opinions about the movie?

Before seeing an opening movie, hopes were bigger than expectations.
Now each part ensures that there is little to fear of disappointment.
Life of Peter Parker is divided into phases of a development of both his self-awareness
as well as his Spider-man's skills. Thus far, none of the episodes failed to reflect this processes.
Peter still remains a good human, but despite his mature age he continues growing up, not always in spirit of his aunt's and uncle's lessons. He experiences not only the power of Venom which he has to overcome before a symbiote does it with him, but also a venom of shallowness which he created and accepted himself.
Peter Parker doesn't resemble the same boy presented and it is more and more revelaed throughout the story.
Due pretty delicate subject-matter, carefulness and special approach need to be taken.
Although such apparently much time like 2,20 hours might appear it can also entail an unpleasant thought that due to exceptional increase in number of enemies/''enemies'', the movie may give an impression of chasing time with the effect of important matters as well as giving proper attention for characters being neglected or treated briefly. Not only does Spider-man fulfil this task in incredibly clever way but saves cohesion of threads, summarises them as well as encourages for serious consideration in the meantime.
The memory of those who counted especially for good effects is noticeable as well.
I don't tend to pick best parts when each of them tells another story but this time taking into account the fact of 3rd part containing previous ones within, I would say that the overal effect makes it being the most worth watching.
I recommend it for everyone irrespectively of a degree of liking held for comic heroes.
